The victim book commemorates victims of the National Socialism who were persecuted or abused, died as a result of the abuse or were murdered in Recklinghausen. You can find the reason for persecution in the biographical data.
Victim Book Search
Use the search to view individual, specific results. The full-text search allows you to search all boxes. You can search for an arbitrary term that might offer a result in various contexts.
Searching for specific search details will provide you with more precise results. You can search by surname, first name, place of birth, status of discrimination or nationality. Even partial entries provide results: Searching for the first name fragment “fri” for example provides results to all first names including the fragment “fri”: Elfriede, Frieda, Fritz, Gottfried, Nordfrid, etc.
You can also do an overall search for all victims of the same group of persecutees.

You can also choose to view a list. For technical reasons, the list will display a maximum of 500 results. Results from this list will be shortened in various places to enable you to view a cross section in the results. Please use the search options to be provided with more precise results.
You can skip or go back a name on the individual results list. This way you can view the results individually.
